| When do you know that you must conduct a Business Impact
Analysis?
For too many companies, it is usually during the week after
a major accident. Of course, by then it is too late.
Our BIA service
identifies what parts of your business need to be up and running as soon as
possible after a disaster hits.
After completing a business impact analysis
(BIA) you can effectively create response and recovery plans that focus on
bringing back those functions most critical to your survival. Without
a BIA you are shooting in the dark.
The information for the BIA is obtained through interviews,
questionnaires, or a combination of methods. This is the first step
in our consulting process.
We concentrate on what the business unit does, what systems support it,
what hardware, applications, tools, data, and outside inputs are required to
do that process. We then identify the downstream elements of the business or
data.
